Every Creator Starts Somewhere.

Every animated film you’ve ever loved…

Every unforgettable character…

Every creative career…

Started with a single idea and someone willing to believe it was worth creating.

This past week, we officially welcomed Cohort 3 of the Dedicated Animation Lab, and once again, we’re reminded why this work matters so deeply.

The excitement in the room was undeniable. New sketchbooks filled with fresh ideas. New stories waiting to be told. New creators discovering that their imagination has value.

For many students, this is more than their first animation class.

It’s the first time someone has looked at their creativity and said,

“Let’s build something extraordinary with it."

The First Week Is Always Special

Every cohort begins the same way with curiosity.

A blank page.

A simple sketch.

An idea inspired by a favorite character, a movie, a game, or a story they’ve carried in their imagination for years.

But what happens next is where the transformation begins.

Inside the Dedicated Animation Lab, students don’t simply learn how to draw.

They begin learning how professional creators think.

How stories are structured.

How characters communicate emotion through shape, silhouette, expression, and movement.

How imagination becomes something others can experience.

Week after week, those first sketches evolve into original worlds created entirely by our students.

Building More Than Artists

At Animation Discovery Studio Hub, animation is the medium.

The real outcome is preparing young people with the creative and professional skills they’ll carry for a lifetime.

Throughout the program, students develop:

Storytelling and visual communication
Character design and concept development
Creative problem-solving
Critical thinking
Collaboration and teamwork
Digital literacy
Project planning and creative execution
Leadership and creative confidence
Presentation and communication skills
Technology fluency

These are the same skills that power careers in animation, gaming, filmmaking, graphic design, marketing, product design, content creation, and the broader creative technology industry.

Creativity Needs a Place to Grow

One of the most meaningful conversations we have with parents is hearing that they always knew their child was creative they just didn’t know where that creativity could go.

That’s exactly why ADS Hub exists.

We believe imagination deserves structure.

Talent deserves mentorship.

And every young creator deserves a place where their ideas are taken seriously.

Because today’s sketch could become tomorrow’s animated short.

Today’s curious student could become tomorrow’s animator, designer, filmmaker, entrepreneur, or instructor inspiring the next generation.

The Journey Is Just Beginning

Over the next five weeks, our Cohort 3 students will continue developing original stories, designing memorable characters, learning animation techniques, collaborating with peers, and building projects they can proudly share with their families and community.

We cannot wait to watch their ideas grow and we look forward to sharing every milestone with you along the way.
