Why Every Child Deserves Access to Animation Education

When we say, "Imagination is the tool, animation is the voice"—we mean it.
Animation is more than a medium; it's a mirror that reflects a child's world, their dreams, their voice. And yet, so many youth—especially in underrepresented communities—are left out of this opportunity due to limited access.
In Detroit alone, ZIP codes like 48234 and 48205 show alarmingly low participation in after-school programs, despite half of the households having children under 18. That’s why ADS exists.
We bring the magic to the kids—wherever they are. All we need are iPads, a few styluses, and their wild imaginations. From there, we teach them not only animation but storytelling, teamwork, and how to turn creativity into power.
What makes ADS different?
We don’t require kids to already be artists.
We meet them where they are—and help them grow into digital creators, leaders, and storytellers.
Animation education isn’t just fun. It’s justice. It’s equity. It’s future-building. And every child deserves that chance.
